Leona Louise Lewis (born 3 April 1985) is a British singer and songwriter. Lewis first came to prominence in 2006 when she won the third series of the British television series The X Factor. Lewis is a multi-platinum selling artist.
Lewis released her debut studio album Spirit in 2007, which peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and on the UK chart. It features the single "Bleeding Love", which reached number one in over thirty countries around the world, and was the best-selling single worldwide in 2008.Spirit also became the fastest-selling debut album and the biggest seller of 2007 in both the UK and Ireland and in 2008, Lewis became the first British solo artist to debut at number one on the US Billboard 200 with a debut album.
