People are using this service to discover new bands, artists, movies, books and authors. Our visitors are open-minded and always on the lookout for something new, and we are doing our best in helping them explore their taste, by suggesting similar, but less popular things, based on what they already like.
Whether you are a lesser known but talented artist, an amateur or experimental film maker, a writer, or you just want to promote something that you think my visitors could be interested in, using the Promote yourself feature, you can easily promote your own stuff within our discovery centered community.
Very simple. All you have to do is fill in the form bellow. Once you confirm your campaign and we approve it, you will receive an email with simple payment instructions (via PayPal). After you perform the payment, your campaign will go live on TasteKid.com and people will start discovering your stuff as well.
For now, one Promote yourself campaign lasts for 2 weeks, costs $10 and receives an estimated of 200,000 page views. At the end of the campaign, you will receive an email detailing your campaign performance. Of course, after that, if you are satisfied with the results, you can easily recreate your campaign.
Your promoted title will be formatted in a similar way to the recommended items and will appear under the distinct "Featured stuff" heading. It will be present within all the results pages that contain one of your specified keywords - either in the search query or within the recommended resources, but will also appear frequently on the mainpage, and, many times, on result pages that don't necessary contain one of your keywords. We are working on ensuring maximum visibility for all Promote yourself campaigns.
As a bonus, we also tweet a stripped down version of your ad on our increasingly popular Twitter stream.
We encourage little known artists (bands, film makers, authors, etc.) to use our platform for getting in touch with a young, discovery avid audience. You can also promote other things that such an audience might be interested in, like clothing, music websites, etc. We won't allow any adult material, marketing-related websites, hatred blogs, and pretty much anything I consider not suitable for a younger, educated audience, to find a way in our pages.
