Envisioning a service that helps people satisfy their basic need of discovery in a simple and efficient way, Andrei has designed and built the TasteKid recommendation engine. Since then, he has been loyal to this vision and has been constantly making efforts to improve, distribute and promote the service. Previously, he worked as a web developer at SoftHost, a software development company and holds a BS in Computer Science from the Politehnica University of Bucharest. Andrei is passionate about TasteKid, is interested in trends and changes, likes to debate, to travel and loves his family and friends.
Felix is a talented and dedicated web developer, with a deep understanding of web technologies and architectures. His determination to always walk the extra mile in order to have a properly designed and developed system, together with his solid and vast knowledge regarding programming and web development, have significantly contributed to a robust product that offers a set of useful features to its users.
Ramesh has been involved in entrepreneurial ventures for the last 10 years. He has started and successfully sold two internet companies. He is also an active investor in early stage internet companies. Some of the companies he has invested in include Blip.tv, iMedix, Mashery, Lookery, CPM Advisors, LilGreenPatch, Cooler Planet, Esaya, Zedo, Webchutney (sold stake to TV18), Grisoft (sold stake to Enterprise Investors), Bbmao and Mobitrans.net. Ramesh holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He enjoys playing squash and listening to music from all over the world.
Vikas is an advisor to and investor in technology companies. He is a Partner & Managing Director with the Boston Consulting Group and a leader in BCG’s Technology, Media, and Telecommunication practice. Vikas’ investments with HT ventures include imedix, webchutney, Blip.tv, FridgeDoor Inc, Mashery, Lookery, and others. Vikas received his MBA with Honors in Economics & Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Computer Systems Engineering and Economic Development from Stanford University. Vikas is also on the Executive Committee of Pratham, an India-based organization that has helped over 2 million children achieve literacy and basic mathematics skills.
Romi's talent, skills and passion for his work have led him to design the graphic concept that TasteKid currently uses as its user interface.
Ioana is responsible for managing TasteKid's social accounts on other platforms, validating mistake reports and comments, and performing other similar tasks that contribute to a better quality service.
Richard has developed TasteKid's iPhone App, which has received good feedback. The application makes it very easy for iPhone and iPod users to get on spot recommendations straight on their devices.
